“Peace During The Pandemic”

I created this wall or free-standing work to show the peace and interconnectedness of nature during a time of great stress. My entire family caught COVID-19; and my father was hospitalized for over a week. Nature has a way of bringing peace and healing the soul though. While taking care of family members, I also bought bird food so that all of us could enjoy bird watching. Although the virus has caused people sickness, loss of loved ones, financial hardship, or simply having their world turned upside down, the simple pleasures of enjoying birds, other wildlife, and nature should not be taken for granted.
This original won an honorable mention award of merit at the 2020 Southern Appalachian Artists Guild National Juried Exhibition.
