The Good Luck Duck

I have been honored to create several monumental sculptures, including public sculptures, such as, “The Good Luck Duck”. The original sculpture (also see the available maquette carved in wood) was selected for the Charlotte SHOUT! Easter Eggs on Parade Arts Festival in April, 2024. Standing 6 feet tall, I sculpted the giant hatching duckling and egg from fiberglass. It tells the story of good fortune. In fact, I encouraged viewers to touch “The Good Luck Duck” for good luck. While the sculpture is a playful, postmodern statement on new beginnings, its large scale, realism, and attention to detail makes it fun, original, and innovative.
