On The Move

Here’s my newest miniature ringed-necked pheasant carved in wood and defying gravity with metal. I created it to detach for easy transporting and shipping. The Ring-Necked Pheasant, originally imported to America from Asia, is one of only a handful of game species to flourish on the American continent. Of the forty pheasant species introduced, the Ring-Necked Pheasant is the most popular and best known, especially the male or rooster likely because of its highly ornate and brightly colored plumage. I don’t see pheasants locally, but I have fond memories studying them in Scotland, where they are abundant.
