“0n The Water’s Edge”

Here’s one my favorite waterfowl sculptures - a life-size American Widgeon. I carved the original after graduating art school approximately 30 years ago. It won several best in show awards for me. The duck is notoriously aggressive; therefore, I think I captured the drake’s character. Although I didn’t have this bird in my aviary, I watched a friend’s widgeon, and consequently, obtained great reference material.
